So I have been avoiding Lane Bryant like the plague since I lost weight. 1. I dont HAVE to buy clothes there anymore so I was boycotting it on principal and 2. I had this insane fear that I would still be a size 26 there. Weird, I know. My brain is messed up. ANYHOO, after the endless search with no avail for a dressy top to wear to a birthday party next weekend, I ventured in. I immediately grabbed their smallest size, 14/16 (that I havent worn since I was LITERALLY 12 years old) and went to try it on. I can not even explain the relief I felt when that cotton (read: NOT stretchy) shirt fit perfectly. I have a long way to go. I know that. My brain has an even further way to go. The fact that I have been paralyzed by fear even THINKING about going into a store is silly! I cant explain why I think I am still almost 300 lbs, but I do. Today I chipped away at that a little bit.
