So I have this guy tenant who sends me an email asking if I can call a handyman to come and fix the hinges of the guest bedrooms door. I email back asking if he can get some woodglue and just try fixing it himself as I just dont think its an emergency to call a handyman in. ( I already had someone fix the furnace at the tune of $600 in November and at that time he could have had the guy look at the door then but he said he just thought he did appliances. ) So the tenant calls me and starts telling me that not only are the hinges loose that now the screws are falling out and his baby might eat one and it will be my fault if I dont get a handyman in. I was like, how did the hinges go from just being loose to screws falling out in a matter of hours? I dont like how people try to pull a blame game. I was also mad that he just couldnt make a small attempt to fix it himself, because its something I would have done on my own without even asking my LL. Hell, my LL should pay me for fixing so many things around my apartment.
