So I heard that PK has crossed the 100 crore mark on its first two - TopicsExpress

So I heard that PK has crossed the 100 crore mark on its first two days (or two & half days, if you count the Thursday previews). Nothing surprising! In fact it would have been a surprise if it hadnt. That being said, its very easy to hit the 100 Crore collection mark for any Khan film. Just make sure enough prints are released and the Bollywood crazy people of India will do the rest! We too watched PK on Saturday & I personally expected a good movie with a subliminal message that got stronger as the movie peaked towards the end. Dialogues were great & with actors like Aamir, Anushka & Sanjay dutt/Sushant Singh in fleeting appearances there was little doubt the acting would be great too! (SPOILER ALERT- Bookmark for later read if you dont wanna know too much about the movie) What let me down was the following: 1) The language Aamir Khan picks up in Rajashtan is Bhojpuri! Dont know if that is because they couldnt find a marwari writer or that Bhojpuri just sounds funnier to people at large. 2) The love story between Anushka & Sushant is kept as Hindu Muslim & India- Pakistan for no reason and does not solve any purpose except that it allows a Hindu godman to state that because he is Pakistani/Muslim he will abscond & not honour his word. This reeks of the deepest prejudice in the minds of the writers & the same could have been shown without the Pakistan & Muslim context also. 3) In the modern era on technology & digital connectivity, neither of Anushka or Sushant make any attempt to contact each other just because the letter had the comment dont try to call me. Yet Sushant keeps calling the Pakistan embassy in Belgium every day for 6 months asking if anyone called for him 4) The Godman brings a device (the remote device for the spaceship) & says it is a part of Shivs damru. Yet no one is suspecting it to be a device of some kind & believes it to be so. 5) The end is extremely hurried 6) The movie often mixes & switches between following a religion & blindly following ritualism both of which are very different concepts. I understand the movie taking a stand against ritualism & not religion. However, it is a one time watch & definitely has its fair share of laughs though the songs could have been better
