So I heard this song in the car today for the first time. It was one of those songs that you hear and you just kind of stop. You cant do anything but listen. Youre arrested by it. His voice. The depth of emotion in the song. It touched me to the core. I had to find out more. I listened to it on YouTube with just the lyrics, then I watched the interview about what the song was about and it hit me like a punch to the gut. I purposely dont pay attention to the news. I cant handle it. Im too sensitive. I knew what was going on in Russia, but I couldnt really take it in. I wouldnt. Now, I know. LGBT fear and hatred is still alive and well, even if its not quite as obvious here in America. Weve made so much progress but we have to make so much more.
