So I just got back from my first appointment at the Brain clinic and it went great!!! 馃槉 They are going to put me in intensive physical therapy, speech and language therapy, and occupational therapy. 馃槃 They said within 2-3 years I will be out of my wheelchair (or at least back to only needing it part time). 馃憤 And they said I WILL relearn how to read and write. Theyre not sure if Ill ever feel the right side of my body again, but they can at least help me regain the strength I that Ive lost in my arm/leg. And hopefully, I will eventually get to a point where I wont need Bugsies help to get dressed or do other basic daily living activities. 馃槃 I loved it there!!!! And I really liked that they didnt give me unrealistic goals. They flat out told me that there are things that will likely never get better....and although it made me a little sad, I appreciated the honesty. 馃槉 So excited for my first therapy session next week!!! 鉂わ笍 Oh and my doctor is going to give me a new pain killer to try! So far, nothing has even come close to touching the pain (except morphine), not even Oxy or other narcotics. 馃槙
