So I made an adjustment to my raw foods diet. I added cooked fish. Absolutely no salt! And all my sugar comes from fruits. I mentioned this to a girlfriend and she began laughing uncontrollably because she thought I failed at the eating lifestyle I desire. I love my girl, but friends can be the biggest stumbling block in our way when we need to move forward. She didn’t realize her laughter was the sort of soft mockery that forces friends into silent modes away from confessions when they fall while growing. The problem is that when people announce how they would like to eat and live, others begin to put them into categories like vegetarian, vegan, pescetarian, and all that. I never told anyone I had problems with meat. Never! Sure categorizations assist if one intends to get ideas how to eat. But I am not going to allow categories to shackle me. I intend to keep experimenting to see what works for my body. What are my goals? you might ask. My goal is to consume food that feel easier on my stomach and make my body feel more alert. My goal is to deposit healthy coins into my life to reap a joyous future. If you see me, you will say I am in shape. And that is true. But in-shape doesnt mean in good health. And though my medical tests are all excellent, I believe there is room to make the body healthier, the sort of healthiness that doctors and medicine lack the sophistication to detect and praise. After only 3 days, I have so much extra energy, and even my allergies have been giving less trouble. And I lost 5 pounds of water from my body already. All this while, my body was trying to tell me it didnt need all that extra water carrying around every day like contraband luggage that bad food put there. Indeed, excesses, whether in our bodies or our lives must be seen as a burden we can get rid of! Not something to be ashamed of, but something to get rid of to provide room and ease to live happier. From having no salt in my eating lifestyle, and getting all my sugars from fruits, I know I will continue to lose water and unneeded fat, and my cells will repair and grow happier. What a great gift to give the body! A great way to love myself! I will continue with my gym workout to ensure I keep my muscles. SO THIS IS IT: Rather than sticking to a 100% raw food lifestyle, I decided to pair the raw food with cooked fish. That is, fish seasoned with herbs only and put in the oven. That will add a huge supply of needed calories and protein, and thus reduce the frequency with which I have to eat raw foods to get enough calories. (yes, in the last days, I discovered that an all raw food diet is TOOO expensive to sustain). But don’t be surprised if next week I say the fish will no longer work! Discovering our body means we must provide lots of room to flip-flop in order accurately test and retest what’s working and what’s failing to work. Many people fail at lifestyle changes because they are given templates and when they realize they cannot adhere to templates, they think they fail and they give up. Sure, a template is great to begin with. But we must always be ready to create our own template from existing templates. I will keep you posted about my journey and whatever changes I make. Some of you might wonder why Im posting all this. Truth is that, I deeply believe I am inspiring someone. And everything I post on my page or write is really to share, inspire, and learn.
