So I mentioned briefly last night that I was medically cleared to exercise. Yey!! Let me offer some color to that statement. Wednesday I was cleared to workout again. To the doctors surprise by my follow up appointment day, post op day13, I had no physical signs of swelling or bruising. I keep hearing stories of people being out of commission for 4 weeks or more. A little scary but the stories were nevertheless, very superficial to me. It absolutely pays to be healthy, persistent on recovering fast and staying positive! The doctor had a smile of amazement from the progress I had made, and told me everything looks great! For precautionary measures he did recommended that I refrain heavy lifting for 1 more week, which is fine with me. Most of my workouts do not involve weights, rather I use my own body weight with the knowledge and principals of different muscle building and toning techniques along with stretching and self care. I am still perfecting the art of patience though! I know that I am not totally healed yet( Id say 85%) and even though I want to go hard right now because of how good I feel, I shouldnt. I remind myself to take it slow, be consistent every day, stay persistent at the activities that I do, have a positive attitude through the tough sometimes painful times as well as the good and have 100% faith in recovery! Because of of this I have a strong belief that my core will be solid and strong soon. ~Everyday and in every way I will be better! Checkout the surgery that I had to undergo!
