So I need to vent for half a minute... Recently Ive seen multiple semis carrying pigs (Im assuming off to slaughter). I wont go into the whole slaughtering itself but, heres the deal...just because youre transporting to death doesnt mean they have to be crammed into a metal, frozen trailer that is completely exposed to the elements. Weve had numbing cold and windchill makes it even colder! Can you imagine driving down the freeway without your windshield, especially when its negative windchill out? Why doesnt anyone care about this and yet it was wrong to train ride people to the gas chamber? Not to mention that when they finally arrive at their destination they are literally FROZEN to the trailer and just ripped off it (sometimes pulling off chunks of flesh). Im not saying that we all need to stop eating meat or whatever but could we at least be humane about it?? Breaks my heart seeing their little fearful eyes looking out of the little peepholes of the trailer, knowing theyll be electrically prodded and kicked to their death.
