So, I picked my dad up from the hospital Friday and moved in with him to help him get back on his feet (literally). Hes progressing well, but yesterday I really freaked out. Not because of him, but because I thought that I might have accidentally killed his cat. I brought home some flowers to brighten up the place. I had no idea that lilies are deadly poisonous to cats, and of course, the cat chewed and swallowed parts of the leaves. He immediately threw them up, but according to the vet I called and all the google info I read, he could still be in danger of fatal kidney failure. We kept an eye on him, and he seemed fine. And, this morning, it turns out he is fine, my dads fine and the poisonous flowers are safely outside on the balcony- so, Im fine too.
