So I plan to repaint this exterior door. Not an expert so is this methodology ok? 1) Gently sand down the whole door paying special attention to where the paint has flaked off and left an edge. 2) Wash the door (with sugarsoap?) and let it dry/dry it. 3) Apply a suitable outdoor undercoat (suggestions?) 4) Paint with final top coat(s).
