So I received something in the mail from Americans for Prosperity stating they are studying the voting habits of voters in Colorado to determine who in your neighborhood consistently votes from a review of public records. This notice listed my name, my address and my voting habits along with four of my neighbors, their addresses, and their voting habits. Im thinking this is bullshit. What gives them the right to send my name, address and voting info to other people. I understand it is public record if someone wants to look it up but not for someone to start shotgunning it to whoever they feel like especially with my address attached to it. I called them 3 times and keep getting the run around. All they keep saying is that its a 1st Amendment thing and they can use the information if they want to. However when I asked them to send me something that states they can you send my information to anybody and they just tell me that they dont have anything and if I have a problem with it, I can contact an attorney or my local government here. What does anyone else think of this?
