So, I saw a post earlier about Obamas romance with Costco, and how hard Costco worked to get him elected, and how it was an attack on capitalism that Costco wants to remove a book from their inventory because they dont like it. There was even mention in the article about Costco playing an important role in countering Walmarts support of republican candidates and issues, while also proving an easy way for Obama to mention income inequality and smart job creation on the campaign trail. I guess first, I would like to say, I dont support any kind of censorship. I hate that Costco has decided to remove any book from its inventory based on the books content. Whether I agree with it or not is irrelevant. Censorship is bad for everyone, on both sides. But I did some research, and I cant figure out why everyone would be so upset about our president touring a Costco facility, and being on good terms with its CEO. Below are some pictures I took the liberty to make, showing average wages for Costco, Walmart, and Sams Club, which is Walmarts version of Costco. According to what I found out, which is free information if you look for it, we should be supporting Costco over Walmart. They pay nearly double, on average, what Walmart pays their employees. How is it a bad thing for our president to support them? Walmart pays their employees half what Costco pays theirs, in spite of having 4 times the sales/revenue, and almost 8 times the net profit. Which comapany would you think has its employees best interest in mind? which company would you rather work for, and support?
