So I saw this posted by a few people and I want to weigh in. I see an unjust system that creates a culture that is the school to prison pipeline, but suspensions are necessary, and yes for 4yr olds. I have been bitten and punched in the face by 5yr olds. Getting a student the help they need shouldnt require suspensions, but in our current paradigm they are. If you want a system that is more just and full of resources ready to aid our youth then you all are going to have to organize like hell for the funding necessary to get it, that will mean a trade off in services, but the good news is its easy.
