So, I see that then NDP wants to raise min wage to $15/hour. I also see sold out real estate in Vancouver sitting 2/3 empty, new buildings being 50%+ sold overseas, occupied homes in desirable areas becoming isolated in emptying neighbourhoods... In short, you have less people spending locally, serviced by a workforce that cant afford to live there, with spiralling costs that just make the situation worse for everyone that lives and spends in the area. Meanwhile, real estate continues to escalate, only to be sold to the highest offshore bidders raiding elsewhere, that have nothing to do with the local economy and even less to do with the people that live there. When is someone gonna stop this crazy train? Do we have to wait til no one actually lives here anymore? For fuks sake, stop the insanity... its painful to watch and so obvious to see that I cant believe its allowed to continue. Rant over, but not forgotten...
