So, I take the day off to do some cleaning up around the yard, moved Marys camper, moved the old snow machine out of the middle of the side yard, went to put it down on a platform and what to my surprise! A hornet stung me on the back of my leg. No big deal, a baking soda compress, good to go, stated feeling a little weesy, went for a swim, a little better then my wife looks at me and says are you ok I said my lower lip is numb and my throat hurts. She suddenly insists on a trip to the ER. Off we go, we get there, the clerk asked me what I needed and I could barely say bee sting, within seconds, I am on a gurney with six people sticking me and prodding and asking questions. Closed throat, elephant on my chest. I wont get into the emotions (many prayers were said) but the physical surprise was scary, and I dont scare easy. Oh, maybe I forgot to mention, I was diagnosed as severely allergic 50 years ago, never had a problem, until today. Now I am the proud owner of a epi-pen as permanent company. All is well, I am safe and life is good.
