So I was born and raised in Oregon, I am a Cajun Cooking newbie. I am almost 40, and never even heard of rue before in my life. It is no where to be found here, so my Cajun friends had to explain how to do it myself. Any tips that you feel would be helpful/useful. So many things I have never heard of before. I have made gumbo, and rice dressing... that is the extent of my skills so far... anything I should try to make as a newbie?
