So I was in another Competitive group being a jerkish know-it-all, when I found a thread about building a Dodrio. I reeeeeaally didnt like set the guy was running, so I decided to look into how to improve it I found out that Dodrio has a pretty interesting moveset. That being said, I came up with this idea for a low-tier anti-lead: Dodrio @ Choice Scarf Ability: Early Bird EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Brave Bird - Double-Edge - Taunt - Haze/Knock Off Dodrio got a ton of new toys in ORAS. With a base 110 Attack and Base 100 Speed, hes not really threatening anyone in the higher tiers, but with access to both Brave Bird and Double Edge, we have access to low-tier Talonflame with less coverage and no prio (BUT IT HURTS ITSELF WITH BOTH OF ITS STABS SO THATS THE SAME THING RIGHT GUYS?), on a higher Attack stat no less. While Im not a fan of Choice Scarf on non-attacking moves, it works well here since Shadow Tag doesnt exist and Arena Trap will not be keeping Dodrio in. That being said, Taunt will allow Dodrio stop some of the other leads from setting up. Knock Off is Knock Off. It does Knock Off things, but Haze allows Dodrio to come in later in the game and stop a sweep that has already begun thanks to Choice Scarf. Even better, since Dodrio is a Flying-type, it wont be getting slowed down from Sticky Web either. Since Amoonguss is super popular in RU, Early Bird is useful in that regard, but thats pretty much the only useful ability that Dodrio has. I just thought this was interesting.
