So I was just typing out my travel history for a job that I thought it would be fun to apply for and it is no wonder why I am ready to GO somewhere! This is the time of year that I usually leave the country. Here is the list of key points....If you care to read AUSTRALIA Sept - Oct 2009 Adventure Holiday -Visited Brisbane and the Tambourine Mountains -Played with lifelong friends in Perth -AMAZING scuba diving and sun soaking in Exmouth -Ate delicious fresh fish sandwiches and shared a beer with tugboat drivers in Karratha -Rappelled into gorgeous slot canyons and attended a fabulous wedding in Karijini National Park -Backpacked along the Cape to Cape Track to the Margaret River region for fabulous wine tasting and sunsets over the Indian Ocean -Spent 2 nights enjoying Sydney and water taxied over to Manly Beach for a day of exploration MEXICO June 2010 Beach Holiday with Mom -Flew into Cancun to enjoy their beautiful white sand beaches -Stayed for a week in Riviera Maya at lusciously green all inclusive Eco resort -Hired a bus to drive us to Chichen Itza so we could explore the ancient Mayan culture -Shopped for hours in the the streets of Playa Del Carmen MALAYSIA / INDONESIA Aug - Sept 2011 Intrepid Tour -Flew into KL (Kuala Lumpur) via Mumbai -Stayed the night in China Town on Petaling Street with FANTASTIC street markets -Flew to the island of Sumatra and took a local bus and ferry to magical Lake Toba -Hiked an active volcano and soaked in its hot springs near Berastagi -Camped and trekked Orangutan in the thick wild jungle -Slept with a traditional Batak families in a longhouse -Travelled by van to Bandah Aceh for deep look into religious culture and the devastation from the Tsunami - Flew to the island of Langkawi for a couple nights of opulent stay on their magical beaches JAMAICA Sept 2011 Beach Holiday -Spent a week near Negril enjoying the vibrant culture and basking in the sun CHILE / ARGENTINA Sept - Oct 2012 Self tour / Intrepid Tour -Landed in Buenos Aires and stayed a couple nights in SoHo while exploring the city -Flew to Temuco, Chile and rented a car to drive to Pucon, Chile -Spent a week around Pucon soaking in various hot springs and hiking in Huerquehue National Park -Met with our Intrepid group in Santiago, Chile and explored the city -Took a bus through the Andes to Mendoza for a few days of wine tasting -Flew to Bariloche to hike some amazing peaks and ate fabulous chocolates -Ended the tour in Buenos Aires visiting the Recoleta and purchasing some art in a local market AUSTRALIA / NEW ZEALAND Jan - Feb 2013 Adventure Travel -Stayed the night in Sydney and went out on the town for some groovy nightlife -Flew to Wellington and took the stunning ferry ride into Picton, South Island -Stayed the night in Nelson and headed for camping and backpacking along the Abel Tasman Track -Drove to Blenheim, stayed at a fabulous B&B and toured the MANY wineries by bicycle -Hiked at Franz Joseph Glacier and soaked in the man made hot spring pools near there -Backpacked the length of the Routeburn Track and then stayed a night in the Milford Sound -I ended my tour in Queenstown where I caught up with an old friend and enjoyed a delicious Fergburger before flying home * I spent 8 months living on the North Shore of Oahu in Laie and was able to further explore the island from there. I have also spent time hiking and exploring Kauai and Maui. *I have travelled the United Stated extensively and have spent tons of time hiking all over the Southwest. I have hiked the Grand Canyon from different starting points more times than I can count. *I traveled to Puerto Rico for jungle hiking and sun soaking, night kayaked on the beautiful island of Vieques to view the bioluminescent bay *I visit Canada at least twice a year to see friends in Toronto or go enjoy some beautiful outdoor Canadian splendor. *Living near the border of Mexico for the past 15 years I have driven to Mexico many times to enjoy long weekends on the beach.
