So I was rushing to work this morning, as usual. I stopped at the red light I do every morning at the intersection of Belt 8 and Aldine Westfield. There sat the homeless man that I see almost daily. I should say young man , couldnt be more than 19. He and his dog sit there each morning at one of the four corners with a sign that says will work for food. I felt bad that I didnt have anything to offer today. Just as the light turned green the car in front of me rolled down their window and gave him a bag full of Shipley donuts. It was a big surprise to the boy and the dog seemed just as excited. I cried like a baby as the boy thanked the people and he and his dog walked back to the underpass to have their breakfast. Tonight I will make sure that somebody less fortunate gets a good meal. I am thankful for all that I have.
