So I wasnt going to share this on FB, but since apparently it is going to be the dominant factor in my life for the next two months or more…. I had a disagreement with a ladder and managed to break my leg in two places and dislocate my ankle. Long story short, I was fixing some cables that were hanging from the ceiling in my office and the ladder broke! Regular aluminum ladder. One of the legs on the ladder just bent as I was climbing down. They have me in one of those external fixators that looks like some medieval torture device and I am waiting for the swelling to go down so they can do surgery. (No selfies, it looks too gross) They are hoping to be able to do the surgery on Thursday, but then I wont be able to put any weight on it, or drive, for 8 weeks! Eeeek! Luckily I have a super supportive family, and my staff has been great. And the dogs of course have been great nurses. I will try to keep the gory details to a minimum and just kvetch a lot.
