So I went in to check on Claire a little later than usual this morning. As I approached her cage, she looked sort of nervous sitting straight up with big eyes and a little feather fluff. Her beak was open a little and as I got closer I realized it was covered in something. As I reached for her food bowl to remember what I left for her, she reached over and tried to stop me. Alas there was nothing in her food bowl that would cause this messy beak problem. I walked over to my desk where I had a jar of peanut butter... now with evidence of tampering. I had to laugh... she unscrewed the top without breaking the plastic, tossed it behind the desk and ate what looked like a little less than a tablespoon of peanut butter. She left it perfectly positioned where she found it, without the lid and went back to her perch. *maybe_mom_wont_notice*
