So... If you dont know it yet then you will now. Im Vegan and Im part of this Vegan/Vegetarian Witch group here on facebook. Actually Ive been part of quite a few and it really never works out for me. The topic of animal sacrifice came up as it usually does and then you have all these people spewing harm none and disgusting, distasteful, ignorant yada yada yada And they also somehow link it to sacrificing ones own pet. Now before I proceed let me make something extremely clear. This will NOT be a post to bash Vegans/Vegetarians/ANYONE. If you do so, it will be removed. I personally do not have an issue with animal sacrifice if it is done the way it should be done. I have friends who live off the land, who hunt for their own food, who honor the animals around them, who share the food, give use to every part of it etc... Not everyone is going to be Vegan/Vegetarian and thats okay. Do I want more people to live the way I do or choose to at least do more than they are right now? Of course, that would be awesome but Im also not ignorant to the fact that people just dont want to. People love to consume their animal flesh and thats their choice. Im not going to sit here and judge another person for that as I certainly would hope they wouldnt do the same to me for choosing the life I choose. And then this Harm none shit comes in. Where are my Veg Witches who dont adhere to such a law.. ugh. Harm None is a Wiccan principle and that is fine if you choose to practice that but not all of us do so blah. You cannot wake up without harming something. Yes we do our best to not go out of our way to inflict harm but lets be real, it happens and it is a part of life. Its just hard because you just dont fit in... You dont fit in with these Veggies because they think youre a horrible person for your stance on such subjects and you dont fit in with the other because they also have very strong beliefs about Vegans so meh. This is just a little rant of mine before I go to work :P People like to jump to conclusions without understanding how or why something works for each individual.
