So Im at my aunts nursing home this morning sitting with her during a Bible study meeting. In one corner there is a little old man who every time Jesus is mentioned starts crying out loud. In the middle is a woman who is seriously debating with the leader over Bible passages. My Auntie Bonnie gives a slight smile when I ask her if she wants to blow this popsicle stand as I remember the stories of how she and my mom cut up in church as little girls. And behind me is a lady who can use her feet to move her wheelchair and she scurries over to the table where my coat and purse are and I can hear her pulling my purse across the table. I say hello, thats mine twice until she hears me and she asks me if its mine...yes....is everything yours....yes...the coat...yes. She scurries away. The next time she is quieter but I can see her in my back eye (or my momma eye) and she starts touching the coat, going for the pocket, then back to the purse but going in it and again I say hello thats mine. She leaves again and I think she rolled her eyes at me!!!! I thought she was trying to jack me, but found out from the caregiver that she does that to everyone, looking for snacks:) It was right after breakfast tho. Bless their hearts.
