So Im at the Eagles game last night and some drunk guy is cursing - TopicsExpress

So Im at the Eagles game last night and some drunk guy is cursing up a storm. He is actually sitting in a seat we own but we had extra so we didnt care he was in the wrong seat. Finally it got to be to much and we asked him to move. His reply was F*ck you what are you going to do about it. For the next ten minutes there was verbal joisting until finally he got in my face and said Im going to kill you. Yada yada I broke my hand on his face and proceed to throw him down to three rows below. Fortunately other than my hand and his body no on else got hurt. But what if they had. Is collateral damage acceptable if someone violates NAP and you are defending your life. he violated the non aggression principle so I dealt with it. I really could have killed him but that would have been extreme. However I come to find to find out he just got out of jail so maybe when he said he was going to kill me. The level of threat to me is subjective as is my response. Suppose I did. If the level of force allowed is also subjective who is to say I couldnt have killed this man and just walked away even though in the end it was just a perceive threat of physical pain to me. I also think this scenario has broader implications. Thoughts?
