So Im explaining to someone how it is extremely unlikely that his vote will ever matter since when an election is decided by even two votes the political result would be the same whether he voted or not. The gentleman advances *this* novel (to me, at least) theory: When the votes are counted the vote that is counted which puts the winner over the top is the deciding vote. But since the votes can be counted in any order, *each* vote on the winning side can be fairly said to be the deciding vote. So even if the result would be the same if your vote was not counted, you cast the winning vote. Human ingenuity at evasion is fascinating and occasionally breathtaking.
