So Im reading this book called Lunatic Express where this American travel writer goes around the world purposely traveling on the worlds most dangerous transports - buses in South America, ferries in the amazon, Cuban airlines, ferries in Africa and Malaysia, trains in Mumbai. So he does research and lists all these horrible statistics. And so my question is; why does one relatively small aircraft that goes down halfway around the world get so much attention when really by comparison its just a small part of transportation deaths worldwide? Why does our press feed us skewed information? Dont you feel a bit manipulated? Anyone want to read this book when Im done? Its really good. Ill mail it to you.
