So, Im reading this weeks TV Guide, and I come upon the entries for this weekend. Among the highlights listed was a premiere of Brad Meltzers (of political thriller book fame) Lost History. It says, and I quote, Author and history buff Brad Meltzer attempts to find some of Americas most valuable artifacts, like Trumans swords and JFKs brain. Hold the train. JFKs brain? His effing brain? How did it get lost? Is it really lost? Or is it in the Indiana Jones warehouse like every other treasure the US has. Or Warehouse 13. What is it with famous brains? First we have Einstein. As I recall, his brain made a cross country trip detailed in a book I have. Something about Einsteins Refrigerator? I cant look it up, or I lose the post. And if youve been following, my copy isnt working well. So why do these brains go off wandering? Why arent they with the body? Wouldnt some frozen slides of tissue be enough? Its not like you could keep it cryogenically frozen, clone a body, and stick in the brain. Dont forget where he was shot. Why is his brain missing?? Now I will have to watch and find out why. Hooked me. Wandering brains. Missing brains. Too bad it wasnt Halloween. Oh, but it was. I see that I missed it. Too busy getting puffed up about missing brains to notice that. Now I have to actually do the research. Well that sucks.
