So Im sitting here watching this and just burst out in tears.. My daddy effed me up. But then I looked back, and no matter his absence, I still made straight As, went to college, graduated, got myself a career, had a child (which he has yet to acknowledge), and have a good man... And my REAL father who is up in heaven has been watching, and cheering, and pushing, and guiding me the whole time. Whats gonna tear a lot of people up is the fact that we blame our fathers for not being there... But parenting has no rule book and I myself as a parent now know that Im gonna have many road blocks and detours on this journey. But God told me to tell everyone who going through the same struggle as I am, no matter how jacked up of a father he may be, he was still the VESSEL God chose to bring us here. And I could be mad and bitter and torn up, but dammit Im here, and thats really the only assignment God had for my father. And even though I made it without him, imma still take my hat off and thank him, cuz dammit I was a hell of a sperm u spit out! The Lord has been my shepherd, and I have never wanted!
