So Im sprawled out on the floor and I just overheard this conversation between these tiny humans (the natives): theyre whispering. Gabby: hey J if you had to choose between your brain and your heart, like if you were going to die and had to get rid of one- which one? Jamien: neither. You cant live without your brain or your heart- you need both to make choices. Gabby: silly, you can take both out and still be alive. Its not you. Jamien: well I guess yes because if you get a heart transplant then you dont change really youre still the same person so its not your heart that makes you, its something else. Gabby: yeah I had surgery and Im still the same. I was laying in the bed and was sleeping and they had those machines and that one made a ticking noise and they pushed the switch and fixed it. Then. I walk in. Me: um Gabby what do you mean? You remember after the surgery? Gabby: no, when I was in that room, and the Drs were working on me and I was like supposed to be asleep. You know, like at night. I sleep, I feel my bed, but I see stuff. Me: oh like a dream Gabby: nope, like real stuff. I see it. Then. Out of nowhere. She jumped out of bed. Jumped from pillow to beanbag to pillow and said ohhh cant touch the floor, hot lava. And in the same breath says hey Jamien what if money was not even invented?!? You know what mommy invented... Me and you.
