So, Im ticked off. Ive had enough with people not paying on time, which results in me having to deal with mad scrambles to make ends meet, which often results in me having to let dealines for other projects slip. Enough is enough. With exception of certain existing customers that are good folk who are also my friends (and one pending customer), Im probably leaving contract work and moving game development and my projects (which always get shelved for contract work, keeping me in the situation Im in.) Now, when I say Im ticked, I mean Im ticked to about the same level of ticked as when I said enough is enough about Kansas trying to legalize discrimination and began nearly daily campaign to make people think more about equality, and began speaking my disgust. As it stands, I was already beginning to align resources to change how I did game development anyways. The rough plan is one minor game release every three weeks, and one major game project launch every 3 months (possibly including Kickstarters for both - the next two games, Crucible and a double header game have already been in the works for a bit now). All I lack now is the check necessary to do marketing. Which, well, is the check Im ticked off over. Time to fix things, and blaze a new path through some old territory. Because, well, theres no way I will continue with this level of disappointment, disgust, and anger in my life over my income. Time to hit my 2014 income goal, and start a full bore studio.
