So Im up at the school today preparing my classroom, for the start of the new year, a few kids are roaming the building after they picked up their schedule, they see me working in my room and Im asked are you a new janitor I chuckle no, Im a teacher. Instantly their facial expressions change. I say that to say this, the need for more Black males in education is at an all time high. We want diversity in education , but that means we have to be diverse in our education. The pay isnt great, but the hours and retirement is. Some parents are worse than others, but the rewards are priceless. Any males with a 4 year degree looking for a different course of work hit me up, Ill tell you all I know to help you get alternative certified.
