So Im watching the evening news. Im not a Rick Scott fan (nor a Crist fan for that matter) but I see once again Scott tried to get drug screening for welfare recipients. Something that i feel is actually intelligent and fair. The court upheld its previous ruling that drug screens for welfare recipients are unconstitutional. Yet it is constitutional for me to be drug screened to keep my job. In fact my employer can say pee in a cup this instant and I will comply or be released. Yet it is my tax dollars that help support the welfare system. I feel that I have the right to have some say in how my tax dollars are distributed. How is this situation balanced and fair? My country baffles me.
