So... It seems that if I say that what happened in France is wrong, some people think that I am condoning the cartoons. I usually dont reply to fools. But I feel the need to explain a couple of things. Firstly, The Prophet, peace be upon him, was mocked more times than you can count. Secondly, he was more than mocked. They threw garbage and rotting animal intestines at him, also at some of his family and most of his companions. Thirdly, he fought back... but not with physical violence. Let me explain something. When someone fights you, you fight back. Im all for that. Its called self defence. But HOWWWWW do you fight back ? If someone attacks you with a look, attack him back WITH A LOOK. If someone is attacking you with words, you fight back WITH WORDS. If someone attacks you physically, you fight back PHYSICALLY. Thats how it goes ladies and gentlemen. Thats how it goes. Read the seerah (life) of The Prophet, peace be upon him... ACTUALLY read it. Thats how it goes !! When He was attacked with poetry, He asked his companions which of them would defend Him. None of them left in a killing frenzy ! Hassan ibn Thabit (raa) replied against their poetry with poetry - and that battle was won. The fact that a person feels the need to escalate something at the spoken level to the physical level is only a sign of their ineptness at the spoken level, a lacking in their IQ. Fight back in the same modality that is used to attack you. If they make cartoons, then respond with cartoons. If they make articles, then respond with articles, if its poetry, then poetry. Finally, as if it wasnt bad enough to be so stupid and ignorant, there are those from amongst the stupid and ignorant who then guilt trip their brothers and sisters in faith and accuse them of lacking faith and not loving The Prophet, peace be upon him, as much as they do. Come on !! Theyre insulting our beloved because we dont have media powerful enough to respond to them, not because your bicep is smaller than theirs.
