So MTs, I was told yesterday that as a massage therapist, Im providing services that people want and dont necessarily need. I didnt let that conversation go any further then that because I took offense to it. (And I dont take offense to many things, but this is my passion, so yeah.) I want to let everyone know that massage therapy is necessary and it should be included in everyones monthly regimen. I run a private practice and am doing pretty well with having clients understand why they need massage in their lives, many, if not all of them, have seen improvements in their mobility and overall physical wellness. I LOVE what we do for everyone and it bugs me that we (massage therapists, chiropractors, physical therapists, acupuncturists, estheticians…etc) are still considered the alternative medicine in the medical field. This has been something thats bothered me for quite some time…I just needed to vent. Thanks for listening. Have a wonderful day everyone!!
