So Maharashtra got yet another chief minister. A young one at that. All of 44 years old. Going by the sense of his interview in Times of India, dated 1-November-2014, he seems to be on the pulse of the youth of the state and the need of his times as well. Wishing him well. In the past ( before PM Modi ) , I never saw public oath taking ceremonies or at least oath taking ceremonies making big news. But the PM and now the CM of Maharashtra hosted public ceremonies to swear themselves in. Public oath taking ceremonies like these signal a couple of important themes - 1. I am at the service of the people of the state now and am definitely not above them. 2. I am accountable for everything I say and do and since you the people are here to witness everything I say, you can hold me responsible. Closing Note : If one compares with the purpose of all major celebrations in life where guests are invited, the theme seems to be similar - To welcome everybody in your happy times and also become responsible / accountable for decisions made. #mahacm
