So.. Marvel announced theyre gonna make Thor a woman. Gotta say, Im half expecting this to be a publicity stunt that doesnt last very long.. that .. whatevertheheckhisrealnameis lays down the hammer and stops being Thor, then newgirl picks up the hammer and becomes Thor.. and then after a few issues something is going to happen in one fashion or another cause thedudewhowasThor to have to become Thor again... The reason I suspect this, is that Thor is a long standing hero with a fairly strong fan base, and (a part in) 4 movies currently, with a Thor 3 at very least rumored. I think if they intended such a major change too be permanent, they would have done it on a slightly less mainstream character, simply to reduce the amount of fanboy flak they would take. Personally, Id like to see them reboot Ghost Rider as a woman, and release a new movie so we can forget Cage ever was Ghost Rider.. Maybe cast Summer Glau? >.>
