So Ray was getting progressively worse after he got home from surgery. He was not tolerating the oxycodone well. Caused him to have the hiccups nonstop for two days and the nausea and vomiting became so bad that he couldnt even keep water down. At about 10:00 last night we went back to the ER. They hooked him up to an IV and gave him an anti nausea medicine thru his IV. His hiccups stopped instantly. They also gave him IV pain medication so he started resting. They readmitted him overnight because lab tests showed his Sodium levels were very low. This could be from the nausea and vomiting. They are now working to try to get him on pain meds that he can tolerate. More to come...
