So.. Whats happening. Well.. My name is Loubie Challenor and I was a lifeguard and swim teacher for 16 years. Last year an opportunity came of a defibrillator for £100! Well I jumped on it, its an ex sports centre facility model called FRED EASY. It is too! well heres the real bit to the story.. I bought it as I live in a small village in the Peak District and there had recently been a death in our local of a heart attack. Most reading this yes it s now over a year since Punch died and so now a year Ive had this Defibrillator!! I bought it out of my own pocket and would have gladly (& do!.. At present) keep in my own nail studio which I have at my house. manicuremasterpieces.co.uk Once I took the defibrillator to the red lion quiz and asked for a few moments of their time. When Id finished explaining about the machine people where throwing money at me! I have a list of those people and you are Dales pioneers! Because of you you bought the defibrillator and over the following months I ordered a new battery and pads as they had expired. I did this for the Birchover Open Gardens. I managed to raise a whopping amount online and through the kind help of Matt & Ally at the Red Lion and Paul Tozzer and the Dooberries by a free gig to raise funds and awareness of the Birchover Defibrillator. This it did, but it needs a box in the village. Whilst I have asked for help.. It has not been forthcoming and in short even the parish council seem reluctant to be directly involved. So on my own I hold the funds the defib and the qualification. WHILST Youlgreave, Winster and other surrounding villagers GOT ON WITH IT! we had stood still? YET, if needs be I would use this machine on any one of my neighbours without batting an eyelid! YOU CAN NOT BE WORSE THAN DEAD! What are people scared of? I, yes I need help!.. Please A lots happened over that year, I have quit teaching something I loved dearly but wanted to foster young children. This is amazing, but time consuming. I havent managed to do very much promoting the defibrillator to our villagers. PLEASE HELP ME BY COMING FORWARD TO PROMOTE, HELP AND FIND IT A HOME!
