So a trip like this starts unceremoniously and ends even more so. Floyd and I left our houses 21 days ago and met at a gas station in our respective paths. And now tomorrow before we get home we will fill up one last time, give each other a hug and one of us will get off the exit for our house and wave. No fanfare, no finality, just a parting of the ways. I must say that spending every minute of every day with someone for 22 days could be a challenge. But these 22 days have been easy, fun and never frustrating. Floyd is my perfect traveling partner. Im grateful for our friendship. What an amazing adventure weve shared.
