Holly Tucker, a 19-year-old student at Baylor University and a saxophone player in the school’s marching band, was eliminated on Tuesday night’s results edition of The Voice. Holly was one of three remaining acts on Blake Shelton’s team. Team Blake has two acts heading into next week’s semifinal: Danielle Bradbery and The Swon Brothers. Usher, Shakira and Adam Levine each have one artist still in the running. Usher has Michelle Chamuel, Shakira has Sasha Allen and Adam has Amber Carrington. Season three Voice winner Cassadee Pope kicked off the show with a performance of her new single, “Wasting All These Tears.” She’s currently working on a new album in Nashville and expects it to drop in October. Cassadee is on the road opening for Rascal Flatts this summer. The results show also featured several duets. Michelle Chamuel teamed up with Sasha Allen for a performance of Madonna’s “Open Your Heart.” Sasha especially enjoyed being saved Tuesday night -- it was her birthday. Team Blake’s Holly Tucker and The Swon Brothers performed The Wreckers’ “Leave the Pieces.” Amber Carrington and Danielle Bradbery performed The Bangles hit “Eternal Flame.” A video segment also was shown that featured the contestants traveling to Oklahoma to view tornado damage and participate in Blake Shelton’s fundraising concert. The top five move on to The Voice live semifinals next Monday night on NBC.
