This is what I do with a little bit of my free time... Grenouer “Blood on the Face” - This song just hits you over your head and in the face at the same time, if thats possible. Grenouer are a band from Saint Petersburg, Russia. While most think of Russia and the cold this song is red hot. I would consider this band a cross of Hard Rock and Industrial. The guitars are produced very well. The tone is epic, tight and spot on for this song. Vocal tones remind me of alt/pop vocals from the 80’s and mixing that tone with this track makes for a distinct sound. The vocals and the message come through very clear. This guy can really sing, he doesn’t need to scream. The rhythm section is very tight. The bass lays down the heavy end of this group. It may not wander far off the root notes much but it is played perfectly for this. The drum work is impeccable. Tight work and sounds are captured by the drum kit that hit hard and have groove. If you don’t know about this band you should. I would highly recommend this band for anyone that likes rock/hard rock/metal/industrial music.
