So Im trying to figure out how much math I need to take before grad school. (So far, I have taken two semesters of calc and one of stat.) Responses from economists so far have included: (1) Two semesters of calc and two of stat, total, differential equations preferable but not required (2) About half a dozen different courses in analysis and probability, each one being a prerequisite to the next one, so it would take about two years to take them all, because I could only take one course at a time (3) Beats me. Ask someone else. (4) Nah, youre fine. You dont need any more math. (5) Linear algebra and differential equations, but you dont have to get better than a C in them. This is decidedly not helpful.
