Why is it a bad thing for people who may not normally get all excited about football, to get all fired up and cheer for the Seahawks (or whatever team they like) when they are doing great.... Why turn a fun and celebratory thing into a negative, what exactly has got your panties in a bunch? Does being a long time fan give one exclusive access to enjoying the game or celebrating in the win of your chosen team? Does it elevate you somehow in your right to join in the thunder of the 12th man? What about folks who just moved here and decided to start cheering for the Hawks? Isnt it a good thing to increase the fan base of your favorite team? Why discourage someone from loving the Hawks just because for , they didnt like them before? Go Hawks - and *everyone* who cheers for them.
