So after a long day at work, I almost forgot it was Veterans Day. I drop my work buddy off at Hardees and as I start to leave an old man is walking through the parking lot and I noticed he had a Vietnam Vet hat on. I rolled down my window and said, excuse me sir. He walked over and I asked him if he had a good Veterans Day. He replied he did and I proceeded to thank him for his service to our country and everything he has done. The man turned his head and I could see his eyes start glistening and it sent a chill down my spine. He looked at me and thanked me and I said, Sir, you dont need to thank me, youre the one that deserves the thanks. He nodded his head and I told him to have a great night. I may have touched that old mans heart tonight but he probably doesnt realize he touched mine. Everyone has busy schedules and are always caught up in daily life. But everyone should take a minute out of their day to pay tribute to those who have served, cause it could change someone life. Thank you veterans.
