So after numerous announcements by our captain that the weather was not conducive for landing in DFW and that we were diverting to Abilene, a young woman told me she had a tight connection in DFW and could she get off the plane first after we landed in Abilene. REALLY?! I asked if she had been asleep during the numerous announcements that we were landing in Abilene due to the weather problems in DFW and the airport being closed.
