So an update to my post this morning. The reason for my scare was my mom. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving she had her normal 6 month eye exam with The Wolfe Eye Clinic. Since she is diabetic she has to go every 6 months. At the appointment it was discovered that she had new blood vessels growing behind her left eye which can lead to a painful blindness if not taken care of. So this was a scare for all of us. Today she had 2 procedures done. They first did a laser treatment and then cleaned the eye off. Once that was done they injected a drug that they use for colon cancer to help kill the vessels. They have had success with this over the last 10 years. She is resting at home as it hurts a little bit. We will not know the results of the procedures for 6 weeks when she goes back again. As you all know family is everything to my mom and so this is a little scary. She is an integral part of our family, not only for her 2 boys that cant live without her. But the little angels that make her smile every single day. Whether it be Macie Tish being a blonde, or Kaitlyn Hess being goofy. Or Brooklynn singing and dancing or using up all of her computer paper on art projects. Colby winking at her or using bungees to keep her backseat secured or Carter saying uh oh uh oh hot or shaking his head no. None of us want to live in a world where she doesnt get to see these and so many others grow, and to be able to see the beauty of this world. So as we pray over the next 6 weeks to ensure she gets better keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you all for thinking of our family. The power of prayer truly does work.
