So and industry colleague tells me today how disgusted he is with the Republican party. The man is a conservative Christian who votes republican. He says to me that he has fun with the staffers who call for money. He tells them dont take me off your list, but you wont get a dime from me. Ill donate to the individual candidates that I believe hold values. Then he tells me about in college he took a business law class. It wasnt about law, it was about selling your argument. One day you were given an issue to argue from a certain perspective. You were graded on how well you defended the argument from the side your were assigned. The next day youd get to argue the same issue from the other perspective and be graded accordingly. The top students could argue both sides effectively and equally.... Makes you wonder. If the only sides, are the money sides. He said he will never forget that right vs wrong was never taught. Thus you have a country run by the top students of their time in the law profession. Right and wrong be damned, just win.
