So apparently Robin Williams committed suicide. To all appearances, he seemed very happy go lucky, so it is a surprise he suffered from clinical depression. I want to take this moment to say depression is a serious illness, and sometimes as a friend who has someone that deals with depression, you have to accept them as they are. Perhaps someday your enthusiasm for them will help them work their way out of that hole. They will start believing in themselves as much as you believe in them. They may seem at times a drag and a downer, but take the initiative to lead the conversation to other things besides what makes them sad.
