So, around six years ago, someone asked me to find them a particular type of stove. We agreed a price and I found a suitable stove - a 600km round trip for me to collect. I gave them the details and they confirmed that was all acceptable. So, I collected the stove, overhauled it and made it ready to install. Weve changed our mind, they said. I was quite surprised a few weeks ago when they turned up and asked me to supply them with some 1,000 litre containers. However, I didnt want to appear like a person that bore a grudge, so I agreed - I also said the price would be about 65€ each. I picked up the tanks (taking up two thirds of the van that could have been used for other cargo) delivered the tanks but they had gone away so I left them, having taken them over gates and up their drive. I was aware they had returned so waited a couple of weeks before going to be paid... What happened next?
