So as it happens I have recently been doing some background - TopicsExpress

So as it happens I have recently been doing some background research into baron Max von Tuchers history. In a nutshell, when Germany lost the first World War, the baron, consul to the exiled Kaiser, found himself isolated in Malta, and turned to my family for assistance. When he passed away, and when his wife died too, his entire local estate was passed onto my great grandfather. Amongst such possessions was his abode in Rabat: Villa Lugisland, and all its contents. The villa is listed at property no. 1 in a will dated 1929, but was sold after that time, unfortunately. The contents are still mostly dispersed among various cousins and generations of my family. I have his Franco-Prussian war medals, and several other items of interest. Coming back to my research and what not, I brought a book out of my library to make a scan of the Barons signature. Then a guest came by today, and like several of my friends, she has a rather sharp sense of perception, so to speak, and we soon found ourselves browsing spectral matters. One of the first things (she) mentioned was about two properties, one of which in Rabat, which always drew her attention....the details are confidential for the moment. Turns out that she is talking about Villa Lugisland, of all places. So at that moment, I stood up and fetched a thick semi-leather bound encylopedia from the table just to her rear, and explained that this book belonged to the same owner of that house and actually came from that villa originally. As did a crucifix font on the table besides the book. If that is not a co-incidence, go figure that this friend of mine also has a son who lives in the same locality and has the same name of my subordinate rank in Battlefronts German unit! I am not quite sure whether this person sees what I do, but in meeting me, circumstances have yet again called her to the same direction. Up till tonight she had no idea who that Villa belonged to originally, nor was she aware that it then passed to my family, and did not know anything about my own ancestry either, and why von Tucher found it natural to approach us, of all people he knew and could. :)
